Places to Visit
Lanzarote is a fascinating place to visit with stunning Volcano scenery and fantastic beaches, here are a few of our favourites:
- Timanfaya National Park – Volcano area, the greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736. Worth paying the entrance fee which it gives you an approx. 30 mins coach tour through the volcanoes and demonstrations to show how active the volcano still is, you can even eat in the restaurant here cooked using the heat of the volcano.
- El Golfo – The Green Lagoon where most of the famous Lanzarote Green Stone is found and made into Jewellery – Great fish restaurants in the village and great place to see the sunset.
- La Geria – Wine region, lots of wineries to visit and sample the wines made.
- Haria & Le Mirador del Rio – amazing views overlooking the island of La Graciosa.
- Famara – Surfing beach.
- Jameos del Agua - César Manrique transformed what used to be debris of a volcanic tube with lava flowing from Volcán de la Corona, into a unique volcanic tunnel & caverns featuring an underground concert hall, restaurant & salt lake.
- Green Caves ‘Cueva de los Verdes’ – The Cuevas de Los Verdes like the Jameos del Agua are part of a 6Km long lava tube which formed about 4,000 years ago when the Montaña La Corona erupted here you can have a guided walk inside volcano tubes.
- Museo Atlántico - The underwater Museum dive amongst the impressive sculptures of Jason deCaires Taylor, Europe’s only underwater museum. This is a unique dive site in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and a must-see site for all divers of any ability.
- Yellow Submarine - Submarine Safaris is your chance to adventure 30m/100ft to the underwater world of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the sights of eerie shipwrecks and a variety of amazing marine life. Departing from Puerto Calero Marina. https://www.submarinesafaris.com/
